A lot of these bands are pretty much unknown outside their home country except to connoisseurs of the form, and believe me, that's our loss!
So whilst you can take this opportunity to plug gaps in your GODDO or TORONTO collections, why not check out Greg Godovitz's pre-GODDO band FLUDD too, or excellent Hard Rockers THE HUNT?
You'll be glad you did, and i'll feel like i did something worthwhile if i can turn at least one person onto these great forgotten bands who deserved far better for their musical endeavours.

Nice post! All great Can Con acts except for Driver, not sure why they are included because they are a US band. I have noticed they have been mistakenly identified as Canadian on a number of other blogs & P2P sites as well. Just thought you'd like to know.

Thanks for the info vinyljunkie, all the info i'd found about them online and in reference books said they were a Canadian act so i didn't doubt it.

Wonderful stuff! And you are dead on the money when you say they deserve better. The market in southern Ontario was saturated with bands, and Im amazed so many of them toughed it out for as long as they did. Even if they may not consider themselves on par with the very few that "made it", there is no denying the great music they created.
