Hi again, and a Happy New Year to you all.This time around we'll be delving into the past to dredge up a whole bunch of under appreciated and seldom seen European and Scandinavian albums and Mini LPs, from back in the days when the Cold War was in full swing and unemployment was at it's highest.
The more things change the more they stay the same eh?
The beautiful girl in the Swedish bikini is gratuitous yes, but it does serve notice that the majority of tonight's featured bands came from that very country, with French, Finnish and Danish acts making up the remainder.
So, in the yellow & blue corner, from Sweden, we have GLORY BELLS BAND, AXE WITCH, GOTHAM CITY and BURN. From France, SHAKIN' STREET. From Denmark, ANGER. And from Finland, RIFF RAFF. All of these records were released between 1981 and 1983, a fertile period for Heavy Metal and Hard Rock, i think you'll find plenty to enjoy amongst tonight's selection.
