Okay, we're back again with a new set of uploads taking in a slightly different musical area. This time we're heading North, South and East in search of unsung Metal treasures from Scandinavia & Europe.We'll stick to the 7"s and EPs for now, taking in the years 1979 to 1982 this time 'round. We've got music from Sweden & Norway in this post, but in the next installments we'll be taking in sounds from Holland, Finland and Italy alongside our Scandinavian brethren. Really, the chances are that you won't know any of the bands featured tonight unless you're a rabid collector or a Swede, but don't let this music's obscurity put you off checking it out. At the same time as the UK's Metallic renaissance was taking place, Sweden was undergoing a grass roots resurgence in the form, albeit on a smaller scale. There's some great music buried in these dusty grooves, all you have to do is dig it out. Thanks for the Silver MOuntain single. I loved that band. And I think I'm with Bonk Bonk, I'm putting all these on one disc - cool!
Well, you better buy yourselves some blank discs then guys, as there are another three parts to this post coming up soon.
